Johnny Lee

Johnny Lee was born on July 3, 1946 in Texas City, Texas and was raised on a Dairy Farm in Alta Loma, Texas. His main interest was Rock 'N' Roll, and he led a high school band called Johnny Lee and the Roadrunners, which won local and state-wide competitions. After High School, Lee enlisted in the Navy, serving a tour of duty on the U.S.S. Chicago, a guided missile cruiser, in Vietnam. Immediately upon returning home, he started pursuing his music. In 1968, he began a 10-year working relationship with Mickey Gilley, both on the road and in the nightclub in Pasadena, Texas. That relationship continues today with The Urban Cowboy Reunion Tour celebrating 40 years of the Urban Cowboy movie in 2020! He recorded several songs used in the soundtrack. "Lookin' For Love", from that same soundtrack, became Lee's first Gold Record. The song spent 3 weeks at the top of the Billboard Country Music Singles Charts as #1, and #2 on the Pop Music Singles Charts. He followed up "Lookin' For Love" with "One In A Million", which spent two weeks at #1.

Janie Fricke

"All I ever wanted to do was sing." Janie Fricke has gone from Indiana farm girl to internationally acclaimed recording artist throughout her career. She was born in South Whitley, Indiana, and raised on a 400-acre farm where her father taught her how to play guitar. From county fairs to corporate trade shows, live concerts, in recording studios, or before millions on television, Fricke's individual sound and performance personality has captivated audiences around the world.

Fricke began her career singing in a "little church up the road" where her mother played piano. She sang at local coffeehouses, high school events, as well as her way through college where she obtained her degree from Indiana University in elementary education. Fricke then chose a musical career, working in Memphis, Dallas and Los Angeles. There, as one of the marketing industry's most successful jingle singers, her voice became known to millions as the voice for such advertising giants as United Airlines, Coca-Cola, 7-Up, and Red Lobster. Her voice led her to singing sessions for Country artists such as Loretta Lynn, Eddie Rabbitt, Crystal Gayle, Ronnie Milsap, Barbara Mandrell, Mel Tillis, Johnny Duncan and others. She has also been given the privilege to sing on albums for Charlie Rich and Elvis Presley, after their deaths. It was a line in Johnny Duncan's single Stranger that ultimately gained the most attention for Fricke. When it hit the top of the charts in 1977, fans wanted to know who sang the line, "Shut out the light and lead me..." The music industry took notice as her voice was heard on duets with Merle Haggard, Moe Bandy and others, leading her to her first major recording contract.

Marty Haggard

Marty was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. Of course, everyone knows his Dad, Merle Haggard. Marty considers his dad the greatest singer/songwriter ever and I’m sure a lot of people agree with that. Growing up, Marty was able to travel with his dad and witness the writing and recording of all his great songs. He also had the opportunity to know many of the country greats, like Bob Wills, Lefty Frizzell, and Johnny Cash, just to name a few.

It’s obvious Marty was influenced by the legendary artists and their music while traveling with his dad. In 1979, Marty began touring with his own band, signing with Dimension Records in 1981. From 1983 to 1985, Marty toured with his dad, playing guitar and singing harmony. Marty signed with MTM Records in 1986 and released Trains Make Me Lonesome, which garnered him a nomination as best new male vocalist. Marty signed with Critique/BMG in 1995 and after some time decided to leave the Nashville lifestyle behind.

In 1999, Marty began writing and singing spiritual songs inspired by his life spent with his Grandma Haggard after his mom and dad were divorced. There were also many struggles growing up the son of such a famous father. For the next ten years, Marty traveled the country with his wife and son, not as a preacher, but just to sing and proclaim his love and personal relationship with Jesus. He still found time to go back to his roots and play country venues, also.

Marty’s love for his dad and his music eventually inspired him to begin a new project, which he titled, A Tribute to Merle Haggard “My Dad” . In 2010, he recorded the first album of this project with a 15-song CD of Hag classics. This led to a tribute show in Branson, Mo, where he performed for two years. In 2011, Marty released A Tribute to Merle Haggard “My Dad", VolumeTwo . He then took the show on the road throughout the country, as well as Canada, Ireland, Scotland and England. Marty now travels a little less, but still performs in many parts of the USA. As Marty’s song, Apple, proclaims, “the apple never falls too far from its tree".

James Carothers

Nashville honky-tonk crooner, James Carothers, is known best for his stone-country originals and spot-on impressions of several of country music's greatest icons.

George Jones' widow, Nancy, personally hired James for his first steady gig at the George Jones Museum in Nashville, allowing him to make a living playing music and to hone his hobby-turned-profession in an accelerated fashion.

James received a standing ovation following his Grand Ole Opry debut performance at the Ryman Auditorium on January 17, 2020. He was also selected by Alan Jackson from the crop of rising artists who play at AJ’s Good Time Bar, Jackson’s self-owned honky-tonk on downtown Nashville’s famed “Lower Broadway,” to open Jackson’s show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, in addition to several dates on Jackson’s “Honky Tonk Highway” tour. Over the past few years, James has enjoyed playing several opening slots, festivals, fairs, and private events in locations all across the United States and has had the opportunity to travel to Canada, Japan, Scotland, and Norway for shows.

Playing so many shows in a relatively short time-frame has forced him to sharpen his stage show quickly and continue to refine the thing he's always enjoyed most — entertaining and interacting with his audiences in a way that leaves most people feeling like they've made a new friend.

James' "Back to Hank" video has over 1.5 million views, and his incredible social media following proves he has made quite the impression!

His life and his career are tightly woven into the fabric of country music history and lore. He is both legacy and legend with an unmistakable voice and a captivating style. David Frizzell is one of the greatest voices in country music with a haunting resemblance to his older brother, the ultimate stylist, Lefty Frizzell. Both share that raw, forlorn quality that is essential to the interpretation of traditional country themes, but David’s voice is even more resonant and nuanced; a perfect instrument for conveying the deepest emotion of every lyric.
